Jobstown House

It is not known exactly how long an inn has been on this site.  The building was originally a long thatched single story building.  This hostelry did great business as a result of it being beside the Dublin to Blessington Steam Tram.  Travellers and day trippers from Dublin stopped off here for refreshment on their way to Blessington and beyond.  Like many other country pubs in days gone by you could also buy basic groceries i.e. milk, bread and butter there also.
